CH BMC The Winning Combination “Morty”

Morty was my first show and breeding prospect. He was a lovely boy who truly never had a bad day in his life. He was the first dog I finished to an AKC Championship, entirely owner-handled. We shared some wonderful milestones together, including earning Select Dog at my very first specialty.

Zafira Eli Biely Demon “Monica”

Monica was my foundation girl here. She is a cornerstone of many of the pedigrees at Kelley Cavaliers, and without her, most of the dogs here wouldn’t exist. Monica was the sweetest girl and, as we used to say, often seemed to have “no bones.” She was wonderfully lazy and would happily sleep all day on your lap if given the chance. She rarely barked and loved short bursts of running and play in between naps.

Monica is the mother of Esme and Waylon, with Waylon going on to earn his Grand Champion Bronze. Monica is heart clear at 9 years old with a beautiful MRI. Monica now lives in California with her mother, Jamie.

BMC Xenia CA “Lexi”

Lexi is an athletic, clingy, bossy, and endlessly funny girl. She was my first parti-color female and comes from very healthy lines. At 9½ years old and heart clear, you’d never guess her age—she’s still beating the young pups to the ball during fetch and hasn’t slowed down one bit.

Lexi is the opposite of Monica in that she truly loves to play and actively enjoys sports. She’s a very active girl but has a beautiful off switch and is great at self-entertaining. Many of her offspring have gone on to be successful in therapy work, nose work, rally, dock diving, obedience, lure coursing, FCAT, and more. Her puppies have ranged from very active to very laid-back, but all have shared lovely temperaments. Lexi still resides with us.

Lexi is the mother of Tamara and Aiden.

Kelley’s More Than A Little Obsessed “Esme”

Esme comes from my Monica × Preston litter, also known as the Twilight litter. She is an incredibly cuddly, loving girl who will never pass up a game of fetch. She loves to lay across your face, pin you down, and absolutely drown you in kisses.

While fetch is one of her favorite activities, her true favorite thing by far is French fries. If she smells them, she gets unbelievably excited. I don’t feed table food here, but Esme is the only one who ever begs—and it’s only for French fries.

Although Esme never finished her AKC Championship, she certainly gave it her all, earning over 20 reserve wins to majors. She more than proved herself in the whelping box, producing four champions from just six puppies total. Esme is a very special girl in our household. She is 5 years old, heart clear, and still resides with us.

Esme is the mother of Abby, Toast, and Baguette.
